In 1993, The Baptist Theological Seminary of Zimbabwe hosted a Mission Immersion Experience for three seminary students from Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond.  That experience proved to be the beginning – and the foundation – of the work and ministry of JourneyPartners.

Today, the Baptist Seminary of Zimbabwe continues to host JourneyPartners travelers, providing orientation and hospitality for newcomers to Zimbabwe, sponsorship and venue for the bi-annual Church Leadership Institute, and facilitation of cross-cultural and theological dialogue and exchange.

Dr. Henry Mugabe, President of the Baptist Seminary of Zimbabwe, serves in an adjunctive role on the faculty of several US seminaries, including Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond, VA; Wake Forest Divinity School in Winston-Salem, NC; Campbell University in Buies Creek, NC; and Memphis Theological Seminary in Memphis, TN.  He is a noted theologian and a coveted speaker, preacher and teacher.

The Baptist Seminary of Zimbabwe offers short-term and long-term opportunities for volunteer teaching and cultural immersion, as well as student exchange and semester abroad opportunities.  To volunteer, or to explore these possibilities, contact Bonnie Dixon, Executive Director of JourneyPartners, at 919.494.2033 or journeypartners@earthlink.net
